Naselle Finnish American Folk Festival A Hit!
The Finnish American Folk Festival held in July 27th – 29th brought in over 1700 visitors to a little town in Washington state. "The Finn festival committee members are calling this one of our best! Visitors enjoyed the culture, the music, the food, the folk dancing and even learned some Finnish words along the way, writes one of the festival organizers," Barb Swanson.

Last week, 9 Finnish companies arrived in New York in order to take part in Kasvun Roihu’s Grow to USA 2018 program. The week in the frames of Grow to USA was filled with pitching opportunities, workshops, and meetings with potential business partners and well-known investors. “Our aim is to help Finnish companies to grow and enter international markets”, tells Anni Hintikka from Kasvun Roihu, the company behind Grow to USA program.

Meet the Chef: Arto Uusitalo
Arto Uusitalo arrived in Washington D.C. in August 2018 directly from Seoul, South Korea, where he worked as a chef for the ambassador of Finland. Despite his young age, Uusitalo has a vast international career. Prior to Seoul, he worked for the ambassador of Finland in Belgium and before that for a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

2018 Global Access Program Welcomes Nine Finnish Companies
