Minister Stubb opened trading at NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City

Today, on 14 March, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb rang the opening bell at the NASDAQ MarketSite in New Your City at 9:30 am local time. At the opening ceremony, he was accompanied by representatives from 27 Finnish start-up companies. Together with the minister, they are presenting competencies of Finnish start-ups to key customers and funding providers in the United States.

In his opening address, Minister Stubb said that Finland has emerged in 20 years from a TOP 30 country to a TOP 3 country, and emphasised that Finland is extremely competitive and has an excellent education system. He assured that Finland is a great place to invest in the core of the European Union and described Finland as the Northern European hub for start-ups.
