Consulate General of Finland in Los Angeles will bring the portable passport unit to Sunnyvale (CA) October 23, 2023, Palo Alto (CA) October 24, 2023, and Seattle (WA) November 29 - December 1, 2023. An appointment for passport renewal is required, and the application must be submitted in person. Identity card applications are also accepted.

Passport applications can only be processed if the applicant has a Finnish personal identification number and applicant’s personal information in the Finnish Population Information System is accurate and up-to-date (e.g., name and citizenship/s). According to the Population Information Act (661/2009), the applicant shall ensure that the personal information is correct. Personal data can be checked from Digital and Population Data Services Agency(Link to another website.) once a year free of charge.
