Job Opening at the Consulate General of Finland: Property Manager and Driver
The Consulate General of Finland in Los Angeles is seeking to fill the position of Property Manager and Driver, starting on March 1, 2026, or as agreed.
Main duties include:
- Property management of the Residence and Chancery
- Serving as the Consul General’s driver
- Participating in other transportation duties of the Consulate and maintaining the Consulate's vehicles
- Performing security and usher duties during events held at the Consulate premises
- Assisting in organizing events
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Mission
Requirements
The position requires previous experience in similar positions. We expect the applicant to have suitable technical professional degree or other technical professional qualifications acquired on the job, as well as basic IT skills. Success in this position requires technical understanding and manual skills.
The applicant must hold a valid driver’s license, demonstrate responsible driving habits and a proactive work attitude. The position requires flexibility regarding working hours, as transportation tasks may occur in the evenings and occasionally on weekends, with schedules varying weekly.
We value strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, initiative, IT skills and fluent spoken and written English. Finnish language skill is a significant advantage. Previous experience in a similar position is considered an asset.
Employment terms
The position is subject to the local employment terms and conditions applicable to locally hired staff. The monthly salary is approximately USD 5,200. The employer does not cover travel, relocation, or housing expenses.
