The Finnish Avant Tecno company designs and manufactures compact multi-functional wheeled loaders and attachments. The company opened its U.S. division in 2012, and currently it is one of the fastest growing multi-purpose loader equipment companies in North America.
One can find over 25,000 Avant loaders working all over the world. The loaders can be used for example for landscaping, ground care, snow removal, property maintenance, farming and construction. The small but powerful equipment is easy to operate without damaging grass or other delicate surfaces.
Compared to other loaders, the Avant products are much smaller in size and fifty percent lighter than the regular equipment being sold in the U.S. In addition, over 100 different attachments make the machines very versatile, and they run economically with diesel fuel.
Avant Tecno was founded in 1991. The company’s manufacturing, product development, sales and marketing are located in Ylöjärvi, Finland. In addition, Avant has its sales offices in Germany, the U.K. and in the U.S. Avant is the market leader in loaders with operating weight under 2000 kg and its products are exported to over 50 countries. In 2014 the company’s sales were over 82 million euros.
The company hopes to maintain its 5% annual growth and seeks new markets especially in North America. According to the company’s CEO Risto Käkelä, investing in the U.S. has been a good decision. The U.S. market is so big that even a tiny part of it is very significant for Avant, Käkelä says. The company’s U.S. headquarters are located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and the dealer network reaches the whole country.
The company started in the Midwest and the Northeast and has expanded from there. Jukka Lyly-Yrjänäinen, President of Avant Tecno USA hopes eventually to see the useful and effective small, green machine in every corner of North America.
