Company Profile: Ambronite, the Healthiest Lunch on the Planet
Do you know that feeling when you have a full day of meetings around the city, and you are multitasking emails and phone calls before a yoga class and children's hobbies? Sometimes days like that include a non-healthy lunch from a fast food cafeteria, since you don’t have time for better options. Finnish company Ambronite has found a solution for busy people creating a healthy, organic and vegan friendly lunch, which can be prepared in only two minutes!
Students from the Aalto University School of Business in Finland were frustrated in the middle of work and school projects, for not finding fast, healthy and nutritious grab-and-go food. In 2014, they started to do research to find out what a human body needs to get all the needed macro- and micro-nutrients and how to create the most optimal meal a human body could have. The result was a drinkable meal, which keeps hunger away for 4-5 hours.
The Ambronite’s drinkable meal consists of 18 whole foods ingredients from berries to veggies. Ambronite has done a lot of work to find the most optimal version of the meal to provide the best taste with the optimal nutrition content. Ambronite just launched the fifth version of the product, which received very warm feedback in the U.S. People said the new version with a new taste and texture is delicious and easy to use. The new version includes more Arctic berries than the earlier ones. Right now the company is looking for new tastes and new flavors for the next versions of Ambronite.
The first versions of Ambronite were appealing to a more performance oriented audience. The first users were people who already were used to use smoothies and blending their own meals. Our purpose was to broaden the audience to people who don't have any previous experience of blending food or smoothies. That's why we always send the shaker along with the product to our customers, so it will be easy for everybody," describes the co-founder of Ambronite, Simo Suoheimo.
In addition to the meals being super healthy, the second goal of the product is that it needs to be easy and fast to use. The meals are sold in small powder packages, which can be stored in room temperature. You only need to add cold water to the Ambronite powder, and shake the mixture in the shaker which is included in the package. The lunch is served and ready to be enjoyed!
The U.S. is the biggest market for Ambronite, and in total the product is sold in over 40 different countries around the world. The company’s headquarters are located in San Francisco, California.
"Our future plans in the U.S. include finding new ways to reach our fans and finding new ways to help people to discover the super power people can get from Ambronite, and in that way help more people to eat healthy even in a hurry. Currently we are very open to work with distributors and retailers in the U.S.," tells Suoheimo.
