Advance voting in Kosovo in European elections 2024

The voting day for the European elections in Finland is Sunday 9 June 2024. In Kosovo, advance voting will be organized at the Embassy of Finland in Pristina from 29 May to 30 May 2024.

There will be a total of 166 advance polling stations in 86 different countries, located at Finland’s diplomatic and consular missions or their offices. Some of the advance polling stations will only be open on certain days during the advance voting period. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for organising advance voting in Finland’s missions abroad and on board Finnish ships sailing outside the Finnish territory during the advance voting period.

The Ministry of Justice has the overall responsibility for conducting the elections. It has published a list of the advance polling stations (Link to another website.)(Link to another website.) and their opening hours on its website vaalit.fi. 

Eligible voters staying abroad for the entire advance voting period and on election day may also vote in advance by post from abroad. The postal voting instructions are available on the Electionsfinland.fi website.

Before going to the polling station:

You must have an identity card issued by the police, a passport, a driving licence or another official photo ID with you when you go to the polling station.

You can also take with you the voting rights notice you have received (notification of eligibility to vote, also known as the notification card), but you can also vote without it. If you are voting in advance at an institution or abroad, you may want to bring the notification card as it will speed up voting in these places. If for some reason you have not received the notification, you can inquire about it and / or its information content from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.

The polling station is indicated on the notification card that will be mailed before the elections to every person entitled to vote.
