Vacant position at the Embassy of Finland
The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo is looking for an Ambassador’s driver. The work is scheduled to start as agreed, latest in March 2026.
Ambassador´s driver will be working at the Chancery of the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo. The employment contract will be for a specified period of one year including a probation period of two months. After the first year, there is an option to continue the contract for an indefinite period.
Responsibilities include:
- Ambassador´s Driver.
- Substitute for maintenance supervisor.
- Technical support tasks, including construction of events (this includes lifting and moving heavy furniture).
- Maintenance duties at the Chancery.
- Maintenance duties at the residence of the Ambassador, and communication with the lessor.
- Other duties according to the instructions by the Head of Mission.
Requirements:
- Valid driver´s license, knowledge of traffic and safety regulations
- A good, clean driving history with ability to learn new surroundings. Knowledge of Tokyo and the surrounding area.
- Sufficient level of written and spoken Japanese
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work well with other colleagues, have good listening skills and patience
- Good and polite manners, possess a calm demeanor
- Ability to manage changes and flexibility, including possibility to work in the evening
