The Ambassador of Finland presented his Credentials to HM The Queen
Pekka Huhtaniemi, Ambassador of Finland to the Court of St. James’s, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Majesty The Queen following ceremonious traditions. The journey towards Buckingham Palace started from outside the Embassy in Belgravia, Central London, where the Royal horse-drawn carriages came with Her Majesty’s Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps to collect the Ambassador and his wife Liisa and their party.

Hannu Rajaniemi aims at world domination
Hannu Rajaniemi is a scientist, a founder of a think tank that focuses on mathematical problem solving – and now a writer. Rajaniemi’s first novel The Quantum Thief, published in Britain on 30 September, has been trailed as the big science fiction debut of the year.

London Children’s Film Festival opens with Moomins
The London Children’s Film Festival returns to the Barbican and twelve cinemas across London from Saturday 30 Oct to Sunday 7 Nov. This year the festival opens with a Moomins-themed Finnish breakfast party, followed by the London Premiere of Moomins and the Comet Chase!
