Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva to visit London

Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva will travel to London on 16 October to meet with the British Foreign Secretary David Miliband. The intention is that during their meeting the ministers will discuss, among others, EU issues such as the Reform Treaty and the Informal Meeting of Prime Ministers to be held the following week. Kanerva will also talk with his British colleague about developments in Russia and the situation in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iran.

Foreign Minister Kanerva’s agenda in London also includes a meeting with shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague of the Conservative Party and a breakfast meeting arranged by the local National Coalition Party chapter. Kanerva will also become acquainted with the Finnish Embassy in London and its personnel.
