Galleria Norsu represents Finnish contemporary art at the Collect Art Fair

The Finnish contemporary art gallery Galleria Norsu is taking part in the Collect: The International Art Fair for Contemporary Objects to be held in London from 15th - 17th May. This year, Galleria Norsu's focus will be on contemporary Finnish ceramic and jewellery art.

Galleria Norsu is a showcase for innovative Nordic craft - both functional and sculptural - ranging from ceramics and metalwork to furniture and glassware. It is run by the Society for New Craft and in located in Helsinki at Kaisaniemenkatu 9.

At Collect 2009, Galleria Norsu will be represented by ceramic artists Kristiina Riska and Kim Simonnson. Galleria Norsu will also introduce an upcoming ceramic artist, Nathalie Lahdenmäki, who was chosen as the Finnish young designer for 2008.

Collect 2009 is being held at the Saatchi Gallery at Duke of York HQ, Chelsea. Galleria Norsu can be found at stand 2.05.

The overall focus of this year’s exhibition is on jewellery (represented by Jane Adam), glass art (Stephen Gillies and Kate Jones) and textiles (Alice Kettle).
