The Nordic Film Festival 2026

Nordic Film Festival returns in 2026 with latest movies from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Join us in celebrating Nordic cinema from 13-14 February 2026 in the garden of the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok.

BANGKOK, 5 FEBRUARY 2026 – The Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden are pleased to announce the return of the Nordic Film Festival (NFF). The festival’s opening night will be held on Thursday, 12 February, followed by public screenings on 13 and 14 February. All screenings will be held in the garden of the Royal Danish Embassy. Admission is free, and all films will be screened with English or Thai and English subtitles.

The NFF offers a unique cultural experience, inviting a Thai audience to explore the rich cinematic traditions of the Nordic countries. This outdoor festival will showcase a selection of quality films from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Beyond entertainment, the festival aims to highlight Nordic creativity and values, foster cultural exchange between the Nordic region and Thailand, and offer couples and friends a chance to spend quality time together during the month of love. Food and snacks will be on offer.

This year’s lineup includes a diverse mix of films from each Nordic country:

  • Denmark: The Land of Short Sentences, a comedy about a woman who moves from Copenhagen to a small West Jutland town and struggles to fit in while discovering her own voice.
  • Finland: Summer Is Crazy, a family drama set during midsummer in the Finnish archipelago, following a family and their friends as they navigate love, rebellion, and new beginnings.
  • Norway: Munch, a biographical drama about Edvard Munch, portraying his personal struggles, grief, and the artistic passion behind his iconic work.
  • Sweden: The Dance Club, a film to be screened on Valentine’s Day about a psychology student who forms a dance group with patients to explore unconventional ways of healing and connection.
