Passport fees increased
Passport fees at the Embassy of Finland in London were increased on 1st June 2014. Normal passport costs £115, fast-track passport £130 and emergency passport £145. The new fees apply to all Finnish diplomatic missions around the world.
You can find the price list for all service fees here. Please note that the passport fee is payable in pounds upon applying by debit/credit card.
A passport application form should be completed in person, also when children are applying, at the Consulate section in the Embassy or the local police offices in Finland. In the United Kingdom the Embassy in London is the only place where you can apply for a new passport.
As the passport application form is printed directly from the Finnish Population Register System, personal data has to be correct and up-to-date. This means that the registration of a birth, marriage, divorce or name change has to be completed in Finland by a local magistrate office before a passport application can be submitted.
Applicants with dual/multi citizenship should also confirm with their local magistrate offices that their citizenship information is correct before applying for a passport. Read more about applying for a passport from our website.
