Cadogan Fine Arts presents ‘Moving Stillness: Tradition and Experimentation in the North’. A journey through the changing landscape of Nordic art, this exhibition presents the work of diverse artists from across Scandinavia, Finland and Iceland showing the influences of French Impressionism in the late nineteenth century moving through a more conceptual/abstract style of art in the early twentieth century and culminating in contemporary artists referencing the past while creating their own unique styles. Among the artists in the exhibition are Ivar Arosenius, Alex Gough, Lea Ignatius, Tove Jansson, Paavo Stenius and Steinunn Thorarinsdottir.
