Responsibilities of the Consulate General
Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai is the official representative of the Finnish Government in Eastern China. The jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Finland is the city of Shanghai and the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Zhejiang.
The tasks of the Consulate General include the following:
- Representing Finland in Eastern China, including taking care of contacts with local authorities.
- Economic and Financial Affairs. Promoting export and internationalization, supporting investments and tourism.
- Media and Culture. Providing information on Finland and increasing the visibility of Finland in China, developing cultural cooperation between Finland and China.
- Consular Affairs. Handling and sharing information on passports, visas, residence permits, work permits and other Consular Affairs.
