Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna to visit Finland

Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna will visit Helsinki on 6 September and meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.

At their meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and Estonia, as well as the economy and regional cooperation. Topical foreign and security policy issues, such as support for Ukraine and the security situation in the Baltic Sea region, will also be on the agenda. 

“Estonia is a close neighbour and partner to us, and our relations are excellent. Our cooperation extends from a significant trade partnership to a military alliance. In addition to our bilateral meetings, we meet regularly in different regional formats,” says Foreign Minister Valtonen.

During his visit to Helsinki, Minister Tsahkna will also meet Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand
