minä perhonen – high end fashion with a Finnish name already for 20 years
Despite its small size in population, Finland seems to have established a unique status in Japan, enjoying an increasing number of fervent Finnish fans. Some of them encountered Finland first time through a fashion brand called minä perhonen. The company borrows its name from Finnish language: minä is "I" and perhonen is "butterfly." Exclusive interview with Professor Yamanaka who received the trophy for Millennium Technology Prize
Dr. Shinya Yamanaka received a trophy for the Millennium Technology Prize called the “Peak” statue, during a banquet at the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo on October 11. The scientist was celebrated at the event hosted by Ambassador Jari Gustafsson for winning two significant international prizes in 2012, the Millennium Technology Prize and the Nobel in Physiology or Medicine.

On 3.11: 3 Interviews, Many Thoughts
The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo interviewed three symbolic people related to Finland about their thoughts on the 3.11. triple catastrophe, nowadays referred to as 3.11 in Japan. Finnish born MP Marutei Tsurunen, Helsinki based pianist Izumi Tateno and Etsuko Takemoto, a Japanese mother residing in Helsinki all answered to the same three questions.
