Finnish Business delegation visit to Yancheng (Jiangsu)

The Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai will organize a local business delegation visit to Yancheng (Jiangsu province) on 29 April 2026, led by Ms. Anu Vuori, Consul General. The primary focus of this visit will be on green energy, Circular Economy and industrial digitalisation.

As a pioneer in China’s carbon peak pilot program, Yancheng has made significant strides in green energy and the circular economy, establishing itself as a national benchmark for low-carbon transformation of industry parks. Today, renewable energy accounts for over 60% of the city’s total electricity consumption. Traditional industries such as production of paper and steel are exploring the use of new energy sources for transformation. By pioneering the "Zero-Carbon Industrial Park" model, Yancheng has successfully implemented high-efficiency circular projects, including green methanol production and the innovative use of LNG cold energy for logistics, aquaculture, and data center cooling.

Who Should Attend? 

This visit is mainly aimed for Finnish companies that have products/solutions/services for Green energy, Circular Economy, industrial digitalisation and hope to expand the cooperation in Yancheng city. Participating companies will have the opportunity to engage in face-to-face exchanges with local industry leaders, including Lanze Energy, Yueda Textile Group, Bohui Paper, Lianxin Steel, and APP Energy (Yancheng). Local industry park authorities will be invited to join exchange activities.

The event is free of charge and participants should cover his/her own travel cost which incl. trains, accommodation, meals etc.
