Finland to Attend the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT26) as Guest Country of Honour
Xiamen, China, 8-11 September 2026 – Finland is proud to participate in the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China, from 8 to 11 September 2026, serving as official Guest Country of Honour.
Finland and China have cultivated diplomatic ties since 1950. The two countries have built their relationship through long-term cooperation and regular high-level exchanges. During the past two years only, Finland's President Alexander Stubb, Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho, and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo have all visited China, while Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Finland this summer. These recent visits demonstrate the strength and continuity of dialogue between the two countries.
At CIFIT 2026, Finland's Minister of Economic Affairs Mr. Sakari Puisto will lead a large Finnish business delegation representing sectors including circular economy, health and wellbeing, energy transition, digital innovation, and advanced manufacturing. Representatives from the regional business organizations from Helsinki and Tampere will also participate.
Finnish companies bring world-class expertise in industrial technologies, sustainable solutions, forest-based industries, health technologies, and digital innovation. The Finland National Pavilion reflects these ambitions through the overarching theme:
"Finland – a country where Nordic nature meets innovation."
This concept captures something fundamental about Finland. Finland draws strength and happiness from its unique natural environment, commitment to research, education, entrepreneurship, and technological solutions.
During CIFIT 2026, Finland will actively promote cooperation in three key areas:

(Finland-China Health, Wellbeing, and Healthy Living Business Matchmaking Event) - Competitiveness through Digitalisation

In addition, Invest in Finland will highlight opportunities for international investors under the theme "Building Sustainable Growth from Finland."
Team Finland China has been working closely with a remarkable group of Finnish companies whose support has made Finland's presence at CIFIT 2026 possible. Finland’s National Pavillion’s main partners are mining, minerals and battery industry development company Finnish Minerals Group (FMG), elevator and escalator company KONE, technology and network infrastructure company Nokia, and sustainable processing technology company Metso. In addition, Finnish companies DCA Instruments, Metsä, Peikko, UPM and Valmet have contributed their support, representing industries ranging from advanced technologies to the bioeconomy, sustainable construction, and industrial innovation. All these companies will be showcased at the Finland Pavilion during CIFIT 2026.
