75 Years of Diplomatic Relations Between Finland and China

On 28 October 2025, Finland and China mark 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

For the occasion, the Embassy of Finland in Beijing hosted a reception at the Ambassador’s Residence on 15 October 2025. The event was opened by Ambassador Mikko Kinnunen, with speeches by Permanent State Secretary Jukka Salovaara and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Hong Lei.

Nearly 400 friends of Finland joined the celebration in the residence garden. Guests had the opportunity to meet Moomin, enjoy a Kyrö Gin & Tonic, relax in a Finnish design corner, and take a peek inside the renowned sauna of the Finnish Residence.

The Embassy of Finland extends its warmest thanks to all participants and partners for making this evening so memorable.
