The Ministry for Foreign Affairs recommends exercising special caution when travelling to the EU and Schengen area The Ministry also recommends avoiding unnecessary travel to countries outside the EU and Schengen area, except for countries for which the restrictions on entry have been lifted.

On Tuesday, May 18 at 9 am EDT Embassy of Finland, Global Affairs Canada and University of Ottawa organize a webinar ”Advancing Women´s and Girls´ Rights: Harnessing Technology and Innovation to Support Women´s Post-Pandemic Economic Empowerment”. Advance Polls in Canada in Finnish Municipal Elections
The Finnish municipal elections have been re-scheduled and voting will take place in June. Right to vote is based on domicile on record in the Finnish population register. All persons over 18, whose municipality of residence is in Finland are eligible to vote.
