The panel discussion will be moderated by professor Monica Gattinger, Director of the
Institute for Science, Society and Policy(Link to another website.) and Chair of University of Ottawa’s Positive Energy(Link to another website.) initiative.

Ambassador of Denmark, Hanne Fugl Eskjær, will outline the business case for choosing renewable energy and the ambassador for Sweden, Urban Ahlin is going to cover Nordice energy cooperation.  Icelandic ambassador Pétur Ásgeirsson will discuss geothermal while the ambassador-designate of Norway, Jon Elvedal Fredriksen takes on the topic of hydrocarbons and beyond.  Finland is represented by Chargé d’affaires Kaisa Heikkilä will delve into circular economy, which has become a household term in Finland.  So much so, that the The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra has been organizing international World Circular Economy events since 2017.  The next seminar, online and open to all will take place September 28 - 30.(Link to another website.)
