The services of our missions abroad are available to your company. We provide up-to-date market information, facilitate establishing contacts and help in market access issues. 

The services provided by the missions are part of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ business services. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is a member of Team Finland, a network of public sector actors providing internationalisation services to Finnish companies.

Team Finland in Australia supports Finnish companies to succeed in the Australian market by: 

  • offering information about the Australian market and its opportunities 
  • identifying and analysing promising market opportunities 
  • assisting in finding suitable partners and contacts 
  • helping to reduce possible barriers in entering the market. 

Team Finland in Australia offers information about the local market and local business opportunities. We help businesses to establish connections and support them to solve problems by answering relevant questions. 

The Embassy of Finland is located in Australia’s capital city, Canberra and features an event space in the chancery building. Business Finland runs its own office in Sydney at the premises of Business Sweden.

Aims of Team Finland in Australia 

Our mission is to strengthen trade and economic relations between Finland and Australia. We do this by supporting Finnish businesses that are entering the market, promoting Finland’s country image and working to increase Finnish knowledge and interest in the Australia. We also aim to support Finnish businesses in New Zealand and the Pacific.  

Finnish honorary consulates

Honorary consulates complement Finland’s network of missions abroad, which consists of embassies, consulates general, consulates and liaison offices. Honorary consuls are private individuals who carry out consular functions on a part-time basis without remuneration. An honorary consul can advise Finnish companies on how to get information on local business culture and find business partners, among other matters.
