A coalition of extremes
The task of forming a majority government based on the outcome of the April 17th parliamentary elections was beginning to look impossible, but a six-party coalition government and a 100-page government programme have now been created, as proof of Finland’s political pragmatism.

Millennium Youth Camp brings future experts from 22 countries to Finland
The second Millennium Youth Camp for talented young people aged 16-19 will start on 11 June and run until 17 June. MY Campers will be introduced to a number of Finnish companies and higher educational institutions. The MY Camp programme includes project work carried out in small multi-national groups and the opportunity to meet Stephen Furber, one of the 2010 Millennium Technology Prize Laureates. Millennium Youth Camp is a unique happening.

Vain hölmöläinen matkustaa ilman vakuutusta
Kun hätä ulkomailla yllättää, Suomen edustustot auttavat ja neuvovat. Rahaa tai laskujen maksua ulkoministeriöltä on kuitenkin turhaa odottaa, sillä se ei kuulu valtion tehtäviin. Vastuu on jokaisella matkailijalla ja siksi on syytä hankkia matkavakuutus.

OECD: Finland’s development aid increasing
International development aid has increased 6,5% between 2009 and 2010, according to a report released by the OECD in the beginning of April. Finnish development aid increased 8,8% between 2009 and 2010, reaching over a EUR 1 billion, which equals to 0,55% of the gross national income (GNI).
