Information for students who have received invitation for entrance exam
Congratulations, you have been invited to participate in an entrance exam! Your invitation letter states where the exam is organised, read it carefully. Embassy organises three exams this year, for EVTEK, TAMK and Diaconia. Most exams are organised by British Council, contact them for details if your exam is organised by them. Exam fee in the Embassy is 9400 NPR and you need to come to the Embassy one day before your exam for registration. Good Luck!

Ms. Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä started as Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Finland 1st of March 2007
Ms Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä started as the new Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu the 1st of March 2007. Ms. Kyöstilä has worked in the foreign service of Finland since 1987. Before joining the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu she worked as Counsellor in the Permanent Delegation of Finland to the OECD in Paris, France.

Service fees rose 1 of January 2007
The service fees rose 1 of January 2007. The change is based on a European Union Council decision of 1 June 2006. New fee for the Schengen visa is 60 euros and the new fee for residence permits is 200 euros. The fee for residence permits for students and people under 18 is 55 euros.

Embassy has new webpages
The Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu has new webpages. The new pages are more userfriendly than the previous ones. The layout of the pages is new, whereas the structure of the pages remains almost the same. The Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu takes responsibility for the content of this website, which will be kept as up-to-date as possible.
