Ms. Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä started as Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Finland 1st of March 2007

Ms Pirkko-Liisa Kyöstilä started as the new Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu the 1st of March 2007.

Ms. Kyöstilä has worked in the foreign service of Finland since 1987. Before joining the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu she worked as Counsellor in the Permanent Delegation of Finland to the OECD in Paris, France. In addition to this she has worked as Counsellor in the Division for Multilateral Cooperation in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland, as Deputy Permanent Representative of Finland to FAO, WFP and IFAD in Italy, as the First Secretary in the Unit for Development Financing Institutions in the Department for International Development Cooperation in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland and as the Second Secretary in the Embassy of Finland in Tanzania. During 1984-1986 she worked in Indonesia as associate expert for UN/UNIDO. Ms. Kyöstilä holds a master's degree in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics.
