Participant for Foreign Correspondents Program 2018
Bilkis Olushola Lawal will be representing Nigeria in this year’s Foreign Correspondents Program. She is a Lagos based freelance journalist at the beginning of her career. Shola has prior experience in variety of different medias. She has been published in international magazines such as Latterly Magazine.

Ghana and Finland strengthen ICT cooperation
The Minister of Communication of Ghana Ursula Owusu-Ekuful who was on a two-day visit to Finland on 24-25 May, on Friday in Helsinki held bilateral discussions with her Finnish counterpart, Minister of Transport and Communication Anne Berner. The two Ministers focused on cooperation possibilities in various areas, and agreed that in a digitalized environment connectivity is of the essence.

Nigerian Military Officers Visit Finland
A delegation of 24 officers from National Defence College Nigeria is currently in Finland for a week-long programme, as part of their Geo-Strategic World Study Tour. The theme of the study tour that took place from 19 May to 26 May, is Social Security and National Development in Finland: Lessons for Nigeria. The group is hosted in Helsinki by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as well as other ministries and the Finnish Defence Forces.

University of Lagos visits Finland - Looking to Partner with Institutions of Higher Education
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe was in Finland with his team on 15-21 April 2018. The group had an extensive programme with meetings in various institutions of higher education. The Ambassador Suomela-Chowdhury discussed with the Vice-Chancellor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellors about their visit to Finland at the convocation ceremony at the University of Lagos on 11th May 2018.

NGO from Niger Celebrated in Finland at the Award Ceremony of the First International Gender Equality Prize
