Development cooperation and humanitarian aid as topics in joint meeting of two EU working groups in Helsinki
The Working Party on Development Cooperation (CODEV) and the Working Party on Humanitarian Aid and Food Aid (COHAFA) of the Council of the EU will meet in Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, on 15–16 July 2019. The informal joint meeting takes place during Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Finland bigger than ever at the Nairobi Innovation Week
Finland as a strategic partner took part in the Nairobi Innovation Week held 10.-14.6 now for the 3rd time. Finnish stakeholders organized several events during the week. Evaluation: Improvement of Women’s and Girls' Rights in Finland’s Development Policy and Cooperation
The Government of Finland has had a longstanding commitment to promoting the rights and status of women and girls and supporting gender equality. In order to have knowledge and lessons on the results on the ground the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (MFA) decided to carry out an evaluation on women’s and girls’ rights and gender equality. The overarching purpose of the evaluation was to learn from good practices. The evaluation thus searched for gender changes and the mechanism contributing to these changes.
