AI Melted Inside Blown Glass: Sini Majuri Brings 2-Meter-Tall Glass Unicorn to Berengo Studio

In a world where heritage and innovation collide, Sini Majuri's latest work, Dreamweaver, mixes glass with Artificial intelligence.

Despite being listed as UNESCO’s intangible World heritage, glass is vanishing globally. What Majuri brings to Venice is a call to action. Her work demands that we rethink the future of glass in an era dominated by technology: it is far more than just the dusty vases on your grandmother’s windowsill.

Created in partnership with AI engineers from Aalto University, Dreamweaver is a fusion of generative AI, plasma tehcnology and glass artistry. In a world where technology increasingly dictates aesthetic norms, Majuri’s piece compels us to confront the reality curated by algorithms.

Sini Majuri’s work is not about comfort or convention. Her work is taking it to places where glass seemingly does not belong. From the catwalks of New York Fashion Week to powerful statements on women’s rights with the world’s tallest glass shoes, Majuri's pieces even take on the robots of Boston Dynamics in a macabre dance of death, Roboballet. Her glass art has been on the front page of The New York Times and featured in over 80 exhibitions worldwide. Her pieces use glass as a medium to provoke, question, and inspire.

A two meters tall glass Unicorn wall is one of the key elements of the Dreamweaver. It reflects the filtered reality we now inhabit. The unicorn, shimmering in rainbow hues, is both a symbol and a question: How do we navigate a world where technology is both a tool and a mirror, reflecting the best and worst of humanity?
