The Permanent Representation

The Permanent Representation of Finland to the European Union is located at Avenue de Cortenbergh 80 in Brussels' EU quarter. The Justus Lipsius building and the Europa building (where the Council’s General Secretariat holds its meetings), the European Parliament and many important Commission buildings are within walking distance. The nearest metro station is Schuman. The Finnish Embassy in Brussels is located in the same building.

In addition, Finland has a delegation room in the Europa building. During EU summits, the space is used by the Finnish Head of State and other members of the delegation.

Residence and reception rooms

The Ambassador’s residence is a property purchased by the Finnish state in the late 1980s. The property is built in 1962. The main building has rooms on two floors together with an attic floor and a basement. It has total floor space of 700 square metres.

The residence is located to the east of Brussels, in the commune of Woluwé-Saint-Pierre.
