ACO - Women’s Political Participation
Description What is done in the programme or project and why, what results are pursued, who benefits from the activities and who are involved in the implementation.
This project aims at creating a political environment that contributes in generating a new generation of young women political leaders, strengthening the women's committees within political parties, and encouraging new women political leaders to start a campaign in order to increase the percentage of women in political parties in all levels as well as preparing to have 1300 women‘s members in the local councils across the country.
Objectives monitored by OECD's Development Assistance Committee The OECD Development Assistance Committee monitors the use of development cooperation appropriations and has defined development objectives. The attainment of these objectives is followed by collecting information. In development cooperation projects, the funding channel may be, for instance, an organisation that implements the project in full or in part, or the Embassy of Finland in the target country that channels the funds to a local organisation implementing the project.
