Foreign Minister Tuomioja visits London

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will visit London on 28-29 June. The main purpose of his visit is to attend the publishing event of the final report of the Helsinki Process at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, on Wednesday, 29 June. The report will be presented by Tuomioja, his Tanzanian counterpart Jakaya Kikwete and Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Foreign Minister Tuomioja will meet with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, representing the next EU presidency, on Tuesday, 28 June. They will discuss the situation in the EU after the June EU Summit and EU-Russia relations including the Northern Dimension Programme. The ministers will also talk about the UN General Assembly in September and the follow-up on the Helsinki Process and the British Africa Commission.
