Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini meets Nordic foreign ministers in Oslo

Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini will attend a Nordic foreign ministerial meeting in Oslo on 23–24 May 2017. The discussions will focus on the future challenges of Europe, including Turkey and migration, development of the transatlantic relations, Russia, Ukraine and Syria, questions that are topical at the UN and Nordic cooperation in Asia. The Nordic foreign ministers meet approximately three times a year at the invitation of the presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers. Norway is the current holder of the one-year presidency.

Besides attending the foreign ministers’ meeting, Minister Soini will participate in an event organised by the Finnish and US embassies where he will speak about Finland’s Arctic Chairmanship.
