Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja visits Latvia

Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja will visit Latvia on Tuesday, 11 April, when returning from the EU´s general affairs and external relations council in Luxembourg.

Foreign Minister Tuomioja will have bilateral talks with his Latvian counterpart Artis Pabriks in Riga. They will discuss the focal points of the upcoming Finnish EU Presidency and other current international and bilateral issues.

In addition to EU affairs, the ministers´ agenda includes items such as energy and environmental issues in the Baltic Sea region and topical UN affairs, such as the election for the Human Rights Council. Minister Tuomioja will also brief Minister Pabriks on the latest developments regarding the Helsinki Process.
