FOCUS 2005 puts Finland on the world map in seven languages

Press release 136/2005
25 April, 2005

This year's Focus on the Economy and Technology, is now in print and available. Finland 2005 - Focus on the Economy and Technology, to use its full name, is an annual publication in magazine format published jointly by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Invest in Finland organisation.

It offers a current and dynamic cross-section of economic and business life in Finland, also highlighting Finland's strengths to potential investors abroad. The arts, too, have their place in the magazine. This year, music in particular is showcased.

Distribution is handled mainly by Finnish embassies across the world. This year's 36-page Focus is available in seven separate language editions: English, German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese, three languages more than last year.

Focus has generated plenty of interest internationally and has served its purpose well - says its editor-in-chief Juha Parikka of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Focus is produced by Täsmäviestintä Oy, Adults Aikuinen mainostoimistosuhde Oy, and Finnfacts, the private sector bureau for information on Finnish industry and the economy.
