Bhutan’s Foreign Minister to visit Finland

Foreign Minister Khandu Wangchuk of Bhutan will visit Finland on 22–24 January. In addition to Finland, he will pay visits to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland. This visit takes place at the initiative of Bhutan.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Khandu Wangchuk will meet with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and Under-Secretary of State Marjatta Rasi. Also on the agenda are meetings with Pauliine Koskelo, President of the Finnish Supreme Court, and Paavo Nikula, Chancellor of Justice, as well as a visit to the Finnish Parliament.

The topics to be discussed during the visit include, among others, bilateral relations between Finland and Bhutan, the democratisation process in Bhutan and development cooperation issues.
