Minister of Education Anna-Maja Henriksson will attend a virtual meeting of Ministers for Nordic Cooperation on 13 September. Henriksson is the minister responsible for Nordic cooperation in the current Finnish Government.
The main theme of the meeting is Vision 2030, which aims to make the Nordic Region the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. The ministers will discuss the cooperation programmes planned for the different sectors of the Nordic Council of Ministers for the years 2025–2027. In addition, the ministers will be briefed on how the cooperation programmes are viewed by the Nordic Council and Nordic civil society organisations.
“Nordic cooperation concerns us all in the Nordic region; it is part of our daily lives and contacts between people. Nordic cooperation is today more topical and important than ever before,” says Minister Henriksson.
The ministers for Nordic cooperation will have a preliminary debate on the Nordic Council of Ministers’ budget for 2025. They will also approve the budget for 2024 and the financial statement for 2022.
