Slush’D Istanbul: Türkiye's First Official Slush Spin-Off

When it comes to innovation, Finland’s flagship is Slush – the large annual gathering of startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators from around the world, held in Helsinki. Now, Slush is expanding to various countries, and Türkiye’s first official Slush spin-off was organised in Istanbul, on October 3-4.

The first day of Slush’D Istanbul attracted up to 1000 participants. Among the attendees were Ambassador Pirkko Hämäläinen and our Business Finland colleagues. Peter Vesterbacka, founder of the original Slush, also traveled to Istanbul to join the event, and was very satisfied with how the event turned out.

One of the key factors behind the event’s success is that the organisers of Slush’D Istanbul have been involved with Slush in Finland before. They therefore know the event very well and are now working to grow the Slush spirit in Türkiye too.

The organisers are looking forward to continuing this work and hosting a bigger event next year.
