Offer Holder Event at the Finnish Residence

Ambassador Pirkko Hämäläinen hosted the students who received admission offers from Finnish universities for the upcoming academic term. The event was held for the second time, following last year’s gathering, bringing together students admitted to Finnish universities and embassy officials.

Ambassador Hämälänen welcomed the students and highlighted the success of the Finnish education system and Finland’s approach to wellbeing. The Ambassador’s welcome speech was followed by a presentation about living and studying in Finland. The students joined the event from different cities
across the country and represented various levels of study, including bachelor’s and master’s programmes. They had the opportunity to start building connections and get to know fellow students with whom they will soon study at the same universities and in the same regions. They also had the opportunity to receive first-hand information from the embassy officials. The event continued with informal discussions and enjoying Finnish delicacies.
