Finnish-Turkish Business Guild meeting and networking cocktails held at InterContinental Istanbul
The Finnish-Turkish Business Guild gathered 30 members to discuss further strengthening of Finnish-Turkish economic relations.
On December 8, the Finnish-Turkish Business Guild gathered 30 members to discuss further strengthening of Finnish-Turkish economic relations, as well as the role of the business guild in achieving business growth between our two countries.
The business guild was established in 2004, and acts as part of the Team Finland Turkey network, in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Ankara, Business Finland, DEIK Turkey-Finland Business Council, the Finland-Turkey Trade Association in Helsinki, and the network of honorary consuls of Finland in Turkey.
An executive working group consisting of active guild members was established to carve out an action plan for 2022. Among the first steps for the new year, the guild plans to create a website and social media presence, while the calendar of activities and events is being ironed out.
Also, the following guild objectives were discussed among members:
- Economic Development between Finland and Turkey by focusing on strategic sectors ICT/ telecommunication /software, circular economy/cleantech /renewables , construction/built environment
- Connectivity; Digitalization, Seminars, Workshops, Networking
- Business Development
- Enabler for business growth between Finland and Turkey
- Source of information and contacts for members
- Support network and exchange of best practices among members
In recogntion of his contributions to the Finnish-Turkish business community, long-serving guild chair Murat Kırçuval was designated Honorary Chairman by Ambassador Ari Mäki. To cap off the evening, guild members and guests mingled in a networking cocktail.
