Embassy Welcomes Three New Members to the Team
Over the past few months, the Embassy team has grown with the arrival of three new colleagues in a variety of roles.
Minna-Mari Mourujärvi has started her post as the Deputy Head of Mission - Minister Counsellor in August. She joins the Ankara team from Helsinki, where for the past four years she was working in the Unit for Security Policy and Crisis Management, covering NATO issues. Before that she was working on Finland’s bilateral relations with Belarus and Moldova. She has been posted in Vienna, covering wide-ranging UN questions and disarmament and in Brussels, covering the Western Balkans and the EU enlargement and in Moscow, working on economic issues. Minna-Mari holds BSc and MSc degrees in Russian and Eastern European Studies. At the embassy she is responsible for following Türkiye’s EU and foreign policies.
Nesrin Can has recently joined the Embassy as Communications and Economic Policy Officer. Her responsibilities also include promoting trade and strengthening economic relations between Finland and Türkiye.
The Embassy also welcomed the new intern Milja Karjalainen who will be supporting the work with political reporting as well as communications and country branding. Milja is currently completing her Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Tampere.
