Veera Heinonen appointed Press Secretary in London

Veera Heinonen, journalist, M.Pol.Sc, has been appointed Press Secretary at the Finnish Embassy in London for a three-year term starting 16 January, 2006. Currently Heinonen works as the London correspondent of a Finnish economic daily Taloussanomat. Previously she has worked as news editor in Taloussanomat and economic editor in the Finnish Broadcasting Company as well as with Reuters, Helsinki.
Veera Heinonen succeeds Petri Tuomi-Nikula who was appointed Director General at the Department for Communication and Culture at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in November.
