After the speeches and presentations, it was time for a hands-on demonstration of various garden tools in the garden of the Residence. The focus was on premium quality Fiskars axes as well as ergonomically designed garden tools. Guests had the opportunity to test what it was like to chop wood, prune a tree, and till the soil using Fiskars tools. The audience showed a lot of interest in the products, and several guests tried their hand at splitting logs with great success, confirming the functionality and durability of the tools. Judging by the large turnout at the event, there is interest and business opportunities in the garden tool industry in the Western Balkans.

Oldest company in Finland has strong experience

Fiskars was originally established in 1649 as ironworks in the village of Fiskari (Fiskars in Swedish), which is now part of the town of Raasepori (Raseborg). Among the best-known products of Fiskars are its scissors with orange plastic handles first manufactured in 1967. Acquisition of Iittala and Royal Copenhagen in the beginning of this century marked Fiskars' expansion into the wider market of home and lifestyle products. Today, Fiskars is one of the oldest businesses in the world and a leading global consumer goods company. Its products, which include garden tools, cookware, tableware and crafting tools, are available in more than a hundred countries. Fiskars employs some 9,000 people worldwide.
