Introducing the new employee of the Embassy Anna Korpi: Increasing cooperation in education and science
Anna Korpi has worked as an Education and Science Counsellor in the Embassy of Finland in Singapore since the beginning of October. In her role, she focuses on identifying opportunities for cooperation between Finland and Southeast Asia, as well as increasing the awareness of Finnish education and science.

SiSu teamed up to donate items to Rohingya refugees in Malaysia
SiSu (Finnish Association in Singapore) organized a trip to Malaysia where unnecessary clothes, toys and other items got a new home in two donation destinations: an orphanage situated in Johor Bahru and a Rohingya Muslim refugee camp, maintained by the UN.

Postal voting 2019
A possibility to vote by post will be introduced in the parliamentary elections of spring 2019. This means that eligible voters who reside abroad permanently (expatriate Finns) and eligible voters who reside in Finland but are abroad at the time of the elections may vote by post. Advance voting will be arranged at Finnish diplomatic and consular missions abroad in the same manner as before.
