General conscription
If you are a male Finnish citizen and live abroad, you are subject to the conscription call-up starting from the beginning of the year in which you turn 18 years. The regional offices of the Defence Forces help conscripts.
A conscript from abroad who is to perform military service should contact the CWT Customer Service Team by email [email protected] to obtain tickets to travel to Finland. The email must be accompanied by a scanned order to start military service.
