New Counselor of Trade and Innovation, Irma Ylikangas

In December 2022, the Embassy of Finland welcomed a new Counselor of Trade and Innovation, Irma Ylikangas.

Irma’s background is in chemical engineering (M.Sc) but she has worked in international business both the private and public sectors throughout her career. During the 20 years of her professional pathway, all continents have become very familiar to her. In the past six years, she has been focusing on digital and sustainable solutions for green and smart buildings/cities and matched several Singaporean and Finnish companies. Finding deal flow from Finland for international investors has also been part of her job.

Irma enjoys working with different industries, accelerators, and innovation organizations.
