Tekes and Finpro to be merged, the role of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will strengthen in the promotion of exports
Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation and Finpro, a provider of internationalisation advisory services, will be merged into a new operator carrying the working title Business Finland. Business Finland will gather all services related to the promotion of innovation funding, exports, investments and tourism under one roof. About 600 experts will be transferred to the new organisation.

New Country Strategies provide guidance for development cooperation in 2016–2019
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has prepared Country Strategies for bilateral cooperation for 2016–2019. The new Strategies lay greater emphasis than before on, for example, the improvement of the position and rights of women and girls and on strengthening the partner countries’ business life.

Nepalese water project funded by Finland wins award
A Nepalese water sector project funded by Finland has been announced as the winner of an annual competition organised by the Finnish Project Management Association. The winning project forms part of Finland’s bilateral development cooperation with Nepal and was delivered by Finnish consulting group FCG International.
