Nepal, Finland, and the European Union join hands for Climate Resilience
Nepal, Finland, and the European Union have launched Local Adaptation to Climate Change (LACC) project to enhance climate resilience and sustainable natural resource management in Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces in 2024-2028. The LACC project builds on the successful Rural Village Water Resources Management Project (RVWRMP), which operated in Sudurpashchim and Karnali for 16 years, benefiting hundreds of thousands of individuals in water supply and livelihoods.
Joint education project between Nepal and Finland receives significant EU funding
Finland will launch a new bilateral project in Nepal focusing in particular on the development of teacher education. The project will be implemented by the University of Helsinki's company HY+, which provides education and development services.

The request for participation, instructions for responding and contact details regarding the competitive procedure are available for service providers in the HILMA official service for notices on public procurement in Finland. Service providers are requested to submit their responses by 2 May 2024.

Advance voting in Finland's presidential elections 2024 in Nepal
Finland will hold the second round of presidential elections on Sunday 11 February 2024. Advance voting will be possible abroad from 31 January to 3 February 2024. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is responsible for organising advance voting abroad.
