The Embassy of Finland in Rome is looking for a full time locally hired Administrative Officer. We are looking for a person who enjoys a variety of tasks and feels at home in a multicultural and multilingual environment. The position requires good organizational skills and previous experience in administration and office management is an advantage.
The Embassy of Finland in Rome is looking for a full time locally hired Administrative Officer.
Administrative Officer's duties will include:
- Assisting with administrative tasks including scanning invoices
- Assisting with banking, invoice and tax exemption matters (IVA)
- Customer service tasks
- Program arrangements for Finnish guests
- Preparation of Verbal notes
- Formalities related to transfers of seconded personnel
- Participating in selection process of interns
- Other tasks assigned by the head of the mission
Requirements:
- Relevant studies and work experience, for example previous experience in administration and office management
- Italian and English languages, both written and spoken. Working knowledge of Finnish and/or Swedish would be an advantage.
- Good IT skills and the ability to use and learn new software
- Social and team working skills, ability to work under pressure
A precondition for appointment to the position is passing a security clearance. A personnel security clearance may be obtained for the applicant with his or her consent (Finnish Security Clearance Act 726/2014). The applicant may also be subject to a personal security clearance in the country of employment, for which the Mission will provide further information.
The position will be filled as soon as possible, subject to agreement. Initially, the employment contract will be for a fixed term of one year (12 months). The intention is for the position to continue after the fixed-term period under a permanent employment contract. Locally recruited staff are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to the local Italian employment law.
Monthly salary: €2,300 gross.
