The Europe Minister of France Catherine Colonna visits Finland

The Europe Minister of France Catherine Colonna visits Finland on Thursday 7 September and will conduct official talks with the Europe Minister, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paula Lehtomäki. Colonna will also hold talks with the Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and the Minister of Trade and Industry Mauri Pekkarinen. She will also meet the Chairman of The Grand Committee of the Parliament Jari Vilén.

In their official talks Colonna and Lehtomäki will discuss the debate about the EU enlargement, external relations concerning energy, the competitive strength of the EU and the humanitarian aid to the Middle East. With Foreign Minister Tuomioja Colonna will discuss the enlargement of the EU and the situation in the Western Balkans, the EU-Russia relations and the EU's neighbourhood policy. The agenda for the talks with the Minister of Trade and Industry Pekkarinen includes issues concerning the EU's innovation policy, competitiveness and energy policy.
